A fifth generation Belizean, David graduated from university in Kansas City in 1972 and immediately entered the tourism industry in his homeland. Over the course of his career he has pioneered scuba diving, inter-island transportation and yacht chartering. In 1982 he setup one of the first tour companies which in 1994 merged with another tour company and emerged as Discovery Expeditions. Today Discovery Expeditions is the largest tour company in Belize and handles clients from all corners of the world.
In 1998 David and his family entered the restaurant and bar business with the design and building of the Smoky Mermaid. It is today considered Belize's premier dinning establishment and the hub for cruise ship passengers..
David was a founding member of the Belize Tourism Industry Association and served its Board for many years. He is today Treasurer of the Belize Cruise Ship Industry Association. In 1997 David was appointed by the King of Belgium to succeed his father as that country's Honorary Consul in Belize. |

A first generation Belizean, Deborah married David in 1975 and joined his quest to showcase Belize with the development and enhancement of the country's many tourism prospects. This ranges from bareboat yacht charters in the late 70's to marina development, inter-island boat transfers, diving, and the design of tours and tour packages.
She was a founding member of the Belize National Tour Operators Association, serving on their board for six years in various capacities from President to Director. She also served on Belize's Marketing Committee for the Belize Tourism Board, and was a founding member of Belize's "Mundo Maya Marketing Initiative". |

Office and Reservations Manager

With 10 years of diverse tourism experience. Carlene has been involved in such fields as hotel management, reservations, sales, marketing and administration. Carlene joined the Discovery Expeditions team in 1996 as an agent in the reservations department. In 1997 as a result of her outstanding performance and commitment to the company, she was promoted to head the reservations department with responsibilities as Office Manager. |

Sheffield holds a BA in business administration from the University of Belize. Before coming to Cruise Solutions he worked for Pannell Kerr Forster Chartered Accountants for over two years as an accountant/auditor. During 1994-1999 he was the accountant for the leading tour operator in Belize, namely, Discovery Expeditions.
Sheffield is currently responsible for reviewing and advising on financial matters and overseeing accounting procedures to ensure that financial statements and reports are prepared in a timely and accurate manner. |

Since completing his BA at Ohio University in 1990, Kelvin has been directly involved with the tourism industry. He entered the industry as a tour guide and worked his way through many other industry fields, including resort management and development. In 1997, Kelvin joined the Belize Tourism Industry Association as Director of Membership Services. This culminated in his appointment as General Manager in late 1997; a position he held until 1999. It was then that Kelvin joined Discovery Expeditions Belize Ltd. as head of Operations and Product Development.
Kelvin also serves on the Board of the Belize National Tour Operators Association as Vice President and also sits on the Board of the Belize Zoo. |
